CDV is a seated view of an unidentified Confederate officer. He wears a light-colored double-breasted frockcoat with matching trousers. Clearly visible on the collar are the two parallel bars of a 1st lieutenant. Also, each cuff has a piping similar to that found on an enlisted man’s frockcoat.

Contrast and clarity are excellent. Mount and paper have minor surface dirt. There is also a small light colored imperfection in the paper near the subject’s knee.

Reverse is blank but for some collector information in pencil.
