Waist-up CDV of a clean-shaven young soldier with slicked down hair wearing a light-colored double-breasted frockcoat with a pin attached to his chest. A modern note written by the previous owner says that the pin is the star and crescent moon but the truth is, other than it being circular, little else can be made out.
Contrast and clarity are good. Mount is toned some. Paper is cut into an oval to fit a gold frame printed on the mount.
Reverse is blank but for collector information in pencil.
Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad] [ph:L]
