Three-quarter standing view of officer in uniform. He wears a double-breasted frock with shoulder straps (major or lt. colonel), sash, and sword belt. He holds sword at his side. Clear image with very good contrast. Revenue stamp on back. A light "rubber stamped" backmark, W. Knowlton, Elmira, NY, that is also dated May 25, 1865. An exceptionally clean image and mount.

This cdv was part of the Ray Richie collection. [jet] [ph:L]
