Image is of a mother seated in a chair holding a young baby in her lap. Seated next to her is another child that is approximately 10 or so years old.

The mother wears a dark shirt with a skirt showing some decoration while her baby wears a plain white gown. The seated child has their hair done in two long braids and wears a dark dress with an Indian blanket draped over the shoulders.

The bottom of the image has a faint period ink inscription that looks to read either “MARK + FAMILY” or “MONK + FAMILY.”

Clarity is good but the contrast is light. Bottom of the image is marked “R. BURNS, KENDRICK, IDAHO.”
