Gold horsehair togue c.1890s. Crown made of gold synthetic horsehair lace over a buckram frame. The outer edge of the toque is accented with a braided band of midnight blue watered silk ribbon, dark blue horsehair braid, and striped horsehair braid in shades of blue, copper and green. The left side of the toque is accented with large loops of midnight blue watered silk ribbon accented with a vintage curved oval gold buckle with a floral motif edge. The same midnight blue watered silk ribbon is used for the original ties. Lined with thin black glazed cotton. Togue measures 11" front to back, 12" ear to ear. Ribbon ties are 4" wide and 24" long. Very good – excellent condition; all trimmings and original ribbons intact.  [CS][PH:L]
