Original pistol cartridge box with clean leather and tight seams to hold Army size (.44 cal.) cartridge packs. “Pocket” measures approximately 5” x 3” x 1.25”.
Outer flap remains supple. Light crazing with some scuffing on edges and “hinge”. Latch tab is complete and unbroken; held in place with stitching and a rivet.
The interior of the box is very good. There is a clear maker’s stamp on the inside: “MADE BY / J.I. PITMAN”. The back has both belt loops which are stitched and riveted. Brass finial is present on bottom. Very good condition. [jet][ph:L]
