Pattern 1864 US cartridge box in very good condition. The outer flap is boldly embossed “US” in the center, a maker’s stamp (Grossman & Co.) on the lower, left corner and sub-inspector stamp on lower, right corner. The latch-tab is stitched and riveted to the flap and remains whole and unbroken.

The inner flap is unmarked and retains the two side “ears” and they remain firmly stitched in place. The implement pouch is complete and good in every way and also unmarked.

Both cartridge tins remain in place. The bottom of the box features the typical brass finial and both roller buckles. All stitching remains strong.  Belt loops attached to the back.
