Box is rectangular in shape. It meas. approx. 4 5/16 long x 2.75 inches high x 1.00 inch wide.
Outer flap is in good condition. The face of the flap is very nice but the top has heavy crazing and some surface finish loss. Latch tab is secured to the flap by a single rivet. Tab is split with a small piece missing.
The body of the box is in nice condition. Box was made without an inner flap. Tin is still present on the inside. Face of the body has a worn “MACON” mark. Bottom of the box has a japanned tack for a finial.
Reverse of the body has a single wide belt loop held in place by two copper rivets. [ad][ph:L]
