This is a well-worn belt with a US infantry belt buckle. The leather belt measures nearly 40” long by 1.75” wide and appears to be a replacement, made from another leather strap (there are old stitch holes at the far end). Leather remains pliable. Outer surface is dyed black while the inner surface is a course brown.

The Pattern 1839 “US” belt buckle is in fine condition with some small scratches on the face. Brass has a bright tone. Full lead in back with “arrow” style hooks.

This is an original, used, infantry belt.  [jet][ph:L]
