This non-dug Federal plate is of the regulation 1826 for infantry cartridge box straps. Constructed in the die-struck and rolled brass method, the accoutrement’s brass face shows the eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch. It displays a bright, shiny surface.

Retains 100% of lead fill. Maker’s mark of “W.H. SMITH / BROOKLYN” is perfectly visible. Both wire loops are perfect.     [jet][ph:L]
