Measuring about 8-inches overall this horn has a pleasing, mellow cream color at the base, transitioning to areas of thin greenish-brown near the spout. The spout is simply turned without the screwtip often associated with York horns, but with the stepped base plug showing characteristic two rows of chip carving on the stepped base, one near the horn body and the other at the top, running around the central mound and dimple. The horn body, spout and base are free of chips or cracks. The base plug has a nice, warm brown color and retains a flat top button stud for a carrying strap and the spout retains its raised ring and groove at the base. This is a pleasing horn in clean, excellent condition. [sr][ph:m]
