Iron scissor-type mold to cast a lead round ball for muskets. Single cavity mold with spout and a sprue cutter in handle. Cavity measures approximately 0.55”. The number “27” is stamped in handle which means “27 balls to the pound” which equates to approximately .56 caliber. This diameter bullet could be used in Colt revolving rifles and specific smoothbore muskets. Bullet cavity is fine with no scratches or dings. Mold is in good overall condition and closes tight.
