This 8” x 6” display case contains all the components of a Civil War-era .58 caliber “Minie ball” cartridge for the rifle-muskets of that time. There is the paper trapezoid-shaped outer wrapper, the lead three-groove bullet, the inner paper-wrapped black powder charge, and the small length of string that tied the trapezoid closed over the tip of the bullet.
