Offered here is a standard issue Enfield Rifle-Musket bayonet with triangular blade measuring 17” in length and .75” in width at the base [overall length 20.55”]. The base of blade is stamped “E / CROWN / 17” while socket stampings read “MS / 58”. Blade exhibits a bright finish with very light and localized salt & pepper patina and socket shows a deep blued finish. All metal surfaces are fully smooth and free of damage or pitting. Locking ring is functional and secure. The black leather scabbard shows a split in the reverse seam thread just below the center point but is otherwise excellent with minimal wear. Brass accessories remain securely attached and the body is stamped “[UP Arrow / WD]” near the teardrop frog stud.
Overall, a very nice Enfield bayonet and scabbard pairing. [cm][ph:L]
