This small envelope advertisement dates to the 1920’s – 1930’s and features a decorative boarder, a rendering of a sportsman firing a shotgun in a pastoral setting, and details of their full offerings with the option of sending away for a complete catalogue.

Some typical wear is noted, including a folding mark and some minor accompanying perforations.  A 1.75” tear is present across the “To” line just above the “Contents” line.  The “From” line lists a Walter T. Smith of Fair Haven, Vermont with no one listed as the recipient.  The reverse side shows an engraved style bottle of branded Stevens Gun Oil with the tagline “BEST BY TEST SUPERIOR TO ALL THE REST”.  A light penciled “10- 10-13-91” is visible at bottom.  The envelope is unsealed and able to be freely opened.  There are no contents contained within.

Overall length is 5.75” and width is 3.25”.

A scare piece for the enthusiast and collector of early American commercial firearms items and memorabilia.  Would be quite at home among any vintage gun collection or would display very nicely.  [cm][ph:c]
