Orders all barrooms and places where intoxicating liquors are sold to be closed between the hours of 7PM and 7AM. By order of T. Ingraham, Colonel and Provost Marshal General, Defences North of Potomac.

Bold type. Measures 8” x 10”. Written in ink at left below order is name of Capt. Henry C. Inwood, Provost Marshal & Pass Officer, recipient of order. Issued at a time when perhaps there was too much celebration occurring among the remaining troops.  [ss]
