This is an authentic 1861 dated Confederate States of America $10.00 note. This is listed as T-26 in Criswell's Confederate Currency book.
Printed in black on front with pairs of red “X”s on front and back. R.M.T. Hunter’s portrait at left and C.G. Memminger’s at right. Figure of Hope with anchor at center. The note retains very nice tone and contrast. Numbered (14535) and signed in brown ink. Plate letter “W”. One pin hole, light wrinkling, and some light staining. Centered well and trimmed very tight.
It was issued from Richmond, Virginia and has the printed date of September 2, 1861. The note has a very nice look. [jet][ph:L]
