This 1915 first edition of "Campaigns of the One Hundred and Forty-Sixth Regiment, New York State Volunteers" was compiled by Mary Genevie Green Brainard and published by G.P. Putnam's Sons/The Knickerbocker Press of New York. This 542-page history, also sometimes titled "Garrard's Tigers," covers the regiment's service in the Civil War with illustrations and plates.

The cover is blue cloth and features embossed text with gold gilt finish. Minor wear is noted at either edge of the spine, as is typical but light corner wear.  All pages are complete and in a nice condition. Binding is tight and no tilt is observed. Both illustrated map plates are present at rear, with one showing a repair using transparent tape. A library embossment and tag on the first flyleaf denote its former status as an inventory item of The Old Stone House Museum of New York.

A rare and complete first edition accounting of a very hard-fought regiment.   [cm][ph:L]
