Jim was born in New Jersey but grew up in Adams County, Pennsylvania, just a short drive from Gettysburg. He was brought up against a backdrop of Devil’s Den visits, Civil War books, and relic shows, which combined with a general interest in history and artifact exhibition to lead him to join the staff of the Horse Soldier in August 2015. At the Horse Soldier, Jim is responsible for shipping all orders. During business hours, however, he can usually be found in the shop behind the front counter. When he is not at the Horse Soldier, Jim enjoys playing his guitar and is a voracious reader.
